Inspired by the poem Brick by Brick, the project<br \/>\nconsiders how memory, attachment, loss, and lived experience accumulate slowly over time, becoming part of an internal wall we carry<br \/>\nwithin ourselves. Each \u201cbrick\u201d holds emotional residue \u2014 traces of relationships, places, grief, resilience, and love.<\/p>\n<p>Working with cast glass, I am interested in the paradoxes held within the material itself \u2014 fragility and strength, transparency and weight, presence and disappearance. Glass carries light while simultaneously exposing vulnerability. It becomes a metaphor for emotional states that are difficult to contain yet impossible to erase.<\/p>\n<p>The sculptures resemble fragments of walls, unstable constructions, or suspended moments of collapse. Reinforced forms, broken bricks, and<br \/>\nexposed supports speak about the fragile systems upon which human relationships and identities depend. Some structures remain standing;<br \/>\nothers fracture, collapse, or survive only through repair.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than illustrating memory as narrative, I attempt to materialise<br \/>\nit as structure \u2014 something accumulated over time, carried internally, and continuously reshaped by absence and survival. upon their surface,<br \/>\nsome hold our pride,<br \/>\nsome extoll the love we\u2019ve known inside.<br \/>\nThe base of our walls is strong, when we begin our lives \u2013<br \/>\nbrick by brick as we begin to build that wall inside.<br \/>\nOne needs to be careful,<br \/>\n&#8220;don\u2019t build your wall too high,<br \/>\ndon\u2019t stop seeing through to the other side&#8221;,<br
